This diesel electric locomotive known as LDE2100 was manufactured at Electroputere Craiova SA Romania under Sulzer Brown-Boveri license. It is used mainly by Romanian Railways but it was exported and used also by Polish, Chinese and Bulgarian Railways.

The locomotive have 2100HP, a maximum speed of 120km/h and a weight of 117t. It is used for passenger service but also for freight service. Introduced in 1960 it is still in use.
